1881Capital Partners

Excellence is a responsibility, not a privilege.

A private investment partnership founded by Tuskegee alumni. We pool our capital, knowledge and discipline to build long-term wealth, and to open doors for the next generation.

Ten young men, one summer in Tuskegee, Alabama.

Some of us met there for the first time. Others grew closer there. All of us left shaped by the same place: its history, its standards, and its belief in what we owe to those who come next.

  1. Tuskegee Institute is founded

Our name honors that year. It reminds us where we came from and what we owe to the next generation.

  2. We arrive on campus

Ten young men begin a bond that holds across careers in technology, business, law, finance and public service.

  3. Brotherhood becomes a venture

More than two decades later, we turn that bond into a shared enterprise and found 1881 Capital Partners.

Long-term wealth, built deliberately.

We are a privately held investment partnership with a research-driven approach. Each stage builds the capital and discipline for the one after it.

  1. Building a foundation

We started by growing a diversified portfolio in the public markets, building the capital base and investment discipline needed for our next steps.

    Public markets
  2. Investing in real assets

From that foundation we are expanding into real estate and business ownership, in emerging neighborhoods and growing markets where careful research and hands-on work create lasting value for owners and communities alike.

    Real estate and business ownership
  3. Growing with intention

Our long-term vision is a portfolio of properties and business ventures in high-growth and destination markets, managed as one well-run enterprise.

    The long-term vision
A group without a plan is planning to fail.
